Why won't Paul Krugman join Occupy Wall Street?
“I’ve been granted the enormous privilege of expounding my own views twice a week in the world’s greatest newspaper…There are, however, some restrictions that come with the privilege; one of them is not crossing the line between advocate and activist,”
From what I can infer, there’s at least two reasons:
1. It would make the NYT very unhappy
2. It would bring you down from the high and mighty realm of commentators that reign from above. You would lose your status as a commentator. You would fall from on high down to where the rest of us muck around, never to return to the “world’s greatest ivory tower”…
Love you Paul Krugman. Why be so cryptic with us when you’ve always been so wonderfully direct?
