Don’t have to live like a refugee…

I can’t stand these initiatives. They lull liberal souls into thinking “the problem” is addressed through these idyllic solutions. There’s a refugee, an American dream, and there’s even something in it for you: his GREAT RECIPE!

I wish Ah Lun success, but I can’t consider this a very important cause or an adequate effort for Americans to address the problem of refugees when I see what I see, in the news, and even in the streets. Every day, I take a tram ride past a few Afghan refugees who have been on hunger strike for weeks while they appeal their denied application for asylum. They have sewn their mouths shut, slept in the cold and rain for weeks, with the threat of deportation to their war-torn homeland.

There are millions of Afghan refugees, displaced persons and asylum seekers around the world. If you’re an American who cares about refugees, I suggest you spend less time learning the recipes of one man in the Bronx, and more time focusing on holding your government responsible for it’s foreign policy and foreign wars.

Liberal causes need to do a bit deeper soul-searching and less shallow soul-soothing.

AMAZING SPEECH BY WAR VETERAN

Our real enemies are not those living in a distant land whose names or policies we don’t understand; The real enemy is a system that wages war when it’s profitable, the CEOs who lay us off our jobs when it’s profitable, the Insurance Companies who deny us Health care when it’s profitable, the Banks who take away our homes when it’s profitable. Our enemies are not several hundred thousands away. They are right here in front of us

Attack of the Drones: 160 children’s corpses

4 more people killed in a drone strike in Pakistan today.

From militants to mothers, Obama must love being complicit in the deaths of these people. Next time he, or any other US official, speaks in public, imagine a pile of 160 children’s corpses, casting a black shadow over the affair

A little bit from the wikipedia page:

Based on extensive research, the Bureau of Investigative Journalismfound that between 391 - 780 civilians were killed out of a total of between 1,658 and 2,597 and that 160 children are reported among the deaths. The Bureau also revealed that since President Obama took office at least 50 civilians were killed in follow-up strikes when they had gone to help victims. More than 20 civilians have also been attacked in deliberate strikes on funerals and mourners. Tactics that have been condemned by legal experts.

That’s right, folks.  Geraldo Rivera broke the story.  The U.S. & British armed forces protect and sell Afghan heroin.  They say if we didn’t Al Qaeda or the Taliban would get the money .. $100’s/billions/year

Oh I love this! Our politicians talk safety and security to a portion of the American public who are not informed… Let me inform you. MONEY is the GOD of our government. Their motivation behind the “war” in this case is financial and if you do the research you will find it THE common thread.

Your tax dollars are sending U.S. troops to protect heroine. Good job, guys.

I will not speak negative about the troops themselves for this, but I will send a big fuck you to capitol hill.
